Free Tool To Assist With Your Breeders' Cup Wagering

If you're like me, as we prepare for the upcoming Breeders Cup (Friday, November 6th, 2009 and Saturday, November 7th, 2009) you're probably in the midst of determining the best wagering strategies for the World Championships of Horse Racing.  I have created this freely available spreadsheet (available in both Microsoft Excel XLS format as well as Open Office ODS format) for you to use and share freely with your friends.

Click to download free Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet

For those of you debating about whether or not you would like to wager in this year's Breeders Cup, consider the following:

Last year's average payout on a
$1 exacta wager was $98.06

Last year's average payout on a
$1 trifecta wager was $1,071.46

Last year's average payout on a
$1 superfecta wager was $6,876.88

This spreadsheet offers a variety of tools for you.  I have gone through and posted the official payouts from last year's 2008 Breeders Cup - with complete links to the freely available results charts.  You'll see the winning horses and jockeys (as well as their country if outside of the United States).  This sheet contains the corresponding win, place, and show payouts along with the exacta, trifecta, and superfecta payouts.  I have included the schedule of events for the televised events on Friday, November 6th, 2009 and Saturday, November 7th, 2009.  A blank template has been provided for you so you can fill out your own results/notes from this year's Breeders Cup.

If you find this tool to be of some use, please feel free to show your support by making a donation to support the development of these products.  And if not, that's OK too - you may use this tool without contributing a cent.  It's free!
