Brockport had a fighting chance against Plattsburgh tonight. However, if history was any indication it would be Plattsburgh's game to lose.

Brockport was ready for action - with highly regarded senior goaltender Todd Sheridan in net. Some regard him as one of the finest goaltenders in the conference. Some say he is a force to be reckoned with. Yes, perhaps he is one of the finer goaltenders in the conference. Big deal. I say there is only one word to describe Sheridan in net...

New York State Governor David PatersonOne of my favorite things to do in the summer is enjoy the beautiful scenery in Upstate New York. Whether you are enjoying an outdoor BBQ among the lush trees, going for a short walk on the trails, spending some time on the beach, or simply enjoying a game of horseshoes - there is something for everyone at our state parks.

One of my favorite parks to visit is Macomb State Park - a park that just so happens to be on Governor Paterson's list of ones that are proposed to be shut down (which includes the closure of 41 parks and 14 historic sites, and service reductions at 23 parks and 1 historic site) courtesy of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation (OPRHP), Governor David Paterson, and Commissioner Carol Ash.

2010.02.13 - Plattsburgh battles Fredonia in final regular season gameTonight's game demonstrated why the Plattsburgh State Cardinals are one of the top teams in NCAA Division III men's ice hockey.

First, I have to give Cardinal goaltender Josh Leis some serious props for tonight's performance. In addition to providing rock solid goaltending all night long, he kept the Blue Devils at bay with several huge saves. Leis delivered when he was called upon; confidently stopping and controlling shots throughout the night.

This confidence seemed to permeate throughout the entire team.

2010.02.12 Plattsburgh squares off against Buffalo StateTonight's NCAA Division III matchup between Plattsburgh State and Buffalo State had all the makings of a very physical and demanding battle. With Buffalo State averaging eighteen (18) minutes or so in the penalty box per game - and the recent disqualification from post-season play - all indications were that the 6-15-1 Bengals would be out for blood.

2010.02.06 Plattsburgh and Morrisville face-off at the StaffordIf anything can be said about tonight's matchup between the Plattsburgh State Cardinals and Morrisville Mustangs, it would be thank goodness it's over. To add insult to injury, Plattsburgh's scorekeeping woes continued - with the new scoreboards darkened and the goal judges relegated to waving third-rate red flags.

Anyway, back to the game. First, let me recant something I said earlier in the season. Prior to tonight, I viewed Morrisville as a team that played a physical game but could be quite a surprise when it counted most. I take that back.
